NATO announces nomination of General Tod D. Wolters as Supreme Allied Commander Europe
The North Atlantic Council has approved the nomination of General Tod D. Wolters, United States Air Force, to the post of Supreme Allied Commander Europe.
General Wolters is currently serving as Commander, United States Air Forces Europe; Commander, United States Air Forces Africa; Commander, Allied Air Command; and Director, Joint Air Power Competence Centre.
Upon completion of national confirmation processes, he will take up his appointment as the successor to General Curtis M. Scaparrotti, United States Army, at a change of command ceremony at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe in Mons, Belgium, expected in the spring of 2019.
