Se abre la inscripción para la audiencia pública en el asunto “Canadá — Medidas que rigen la venta de vino”

A petición de las partes en la diferencia “Canadá — Medidas que rigen la venta de vino” (DS537), el Grupo Especial ha decidido abrir al público su primera reunión sustantiva de los días 18 y 19 de julio de 2019.

The public viewing of the meeting with the parties is expected to start at 10:00  on Thursday, 18 July 2019 in Room S2. The meeting may be closed at the times to be determined by the panel in order to discuss confidential information, if necessary.

The public viewing of the third-party session is scheduled to start at 10:00 on Friday, 19 July 2019 in Room S2. The panel will open to public observation the statements of third parties that agreed to present their statements publicly. The rest of the third-party session will not be open to public observation.

The panel reserves the right to close the meeting to public observation at any time, on its own initiative or at the request of either party, if there is a risk of breach of confidentiality or disruption of the meeting.

The public viewing will take place via a closed-circuit television broadcast and will be held in English only. Interpretation will not be available.

The number of places in the room reserved for the public will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis upon receipt of a completed registration form. Completed forms should be sent by e-mail only to the following address: openmeetingDS537@wto.org. Applications will be accepted until 17:00, Geneva time, on Monday, 15 July 2019.

Members of the public to whom seats have been allocated will need to present a valid official photo identification on-site to access the presentation room.  Members of the public allocated a seat are requested to arrive in good time, as WTO security checks may delay access to the presentation room.

Please note that any form of recording of the presentation is prohibited and that cell phones shall be switched off during the meetings.

The WTO cannot offer any support, including financial, for accommodation, flight arrangements and visas.
