Secretary General meets Latvian President ahead of NATO Leaders’ Meeting
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg welcomes the President of Latvia, Egils Levits
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg welcomed Latvian President Egils Levits to NATO Headquarters on Monday (25 November 2019).
The two leaders discussed preparations for the upcoming meeting of NATO leaders in London. “The foundations of NATO are strong, and we will ensure the Alliance is fit for the future,” said the Secretary General. He also praised Latvia’s strong commitment to the Alliance – from contributing to NATO’s mission in Afghanistan to investing more than 2% of GDP on defence and hosting a multinational NATO battlegroup in Ādaži.
