Women Deliver 2019 Conference
The Women Deliver 2019 Conference will take place in Vancouver, Canada from 3-6 June 2019. It will be the world’s largest conference on gender equality and the health, rights, and well-being of girls and women in the 21st century. It will also serve as a catalyst for advocates working to achieve a more gender-equal world.
Representatives from WHO will join over 6 000 world leaders, government officials, civil society and private sector leaders, young people, advocates, academics, activists, and journalists from more than 150 countries in Vancouver to work towards accelerating progress for girls and women everywhere. Within the Women Deliver Conference, WHO together with the European Parliamentary Forum on Population and Development (EPF) and UNFPA is co-organizing the Women Deliver Parliamentarians’ Forum bringing together Parliamentarians from more than 40 countries.
Unless every woman and girl has access to quality and affordable health care, unless women and girls can freely exercise their sexual and reproductive health rights, unless all women and girls are treated and respected as equals, we will not achieve our 2030 agenda for health and sustainable development.
