NEW YORK, NY – The NFL named CHRISTINE DORFLER its Chief Financial Officer, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced today.

A 21-year veteran of NBCUniversal, where she was most recently the CFO of NBC Sports, Dorfler will report directly to Commissioner Goodell and lead the Finance and League Strategy functions. The move is effective May 1, and she will be based in the NFL’s office in New York City.

Dorfler will work directly with the NFL’s senior leadership team along with its 32 clubs and dozens of business partners to continue positioning the league for long-term growth.

At NBC, Dorfler oversaw all NFL media partnerships as well as contracts with the International Olympic Committee, NASCAR, English Premier League, college football and college basketball. She had a significant impact in modernizing NBCUniversal by expanding to a digital/streaming model. Prior to her role at NBC Sports, she was the CFO of the NBC and Telemundo Owned Television Stations.

“We’re excited to welcome Christine to the NFL family,” said Commissioner Goodell. “She is an incredibly well-rounded finance executive who is both operational and strategic. Her industry expertise along with her results-driven approach make her uniquely qualified to take on this challenge in a changing media and business landscape.”

“I’m honored to join such a world-class organization and team at the NFL,” said Dorfler. “I learned the NFL’s impact firsthand at NBC and look forward to working collaboratively as the league continues to push boundaries in media and business.”

Dorfler earned an MBA from Drexel University and a B.S. Degree in Accounting from Villanova University where she was a college athlete and ROTC scholar. Prior to starting her corporate career, she was a United States Army Military Intelligence Officer.

Joe Siclare, who served as the NFL’s CFO from 2011-2022 before transitioning to his current position as Executive Vice President of Finance and League Policy, will continue his 30-year career at the league and assist in Dorfler’s transition. Siclare has served as a key advisor to Commissioner Goodell and club ownership. His many achievements include playing a central role in collective bargaining agreements, league and stadium financing, and league strategic and financial planning.
